The new French fries will be sold throughout the U.S. and will have fewer calories and less fat than regular fries. A small serving of Satisfries will have 270 calories and 11 grams of fat compared to a small serving of Burger King’s classic fries, which contains 340 calories and 15 grams of fat.

Compared to McDonald’s French fries, Satisfries are 30 percent less caloric and have 40 percent less fat, Burger King says.

The new fries will be made of mostly the same ingredients as Burger King’s classic fries, but will have a “less porous batter to keep out more oil during cooking,” reports the Wall Street Journal, citing Eric Hirschhorn, the chief marketing officer for Burger King North America.

To separate itself from Burger King’s traditional fries, Satisfries will be crinkle-cut. The new food item will also cost BK customers about 25 cents more, according to the Journal, except in kids’ meals.
