Calif. Wildfire 80 Percent Contained
Published at | Updated at(TUOLUMNE COUNTY, Calif.) — The wildfire in Tuolumne County, Calif., called the Rim Fire, is 80 percent contained as of Tuesday night.
Many evacuation orders have been lifted as firefighters continue to make progress.
The number of firefighters has been decreased to 4,185, mymotherlode.com reports.
The blaze, near Yosemite National Park, has spread to 235,840 acres as of Tuesday night.
The fire began Aug. 17. Officials are still investigating the cause.
