The actress who played Sheen’s therapist with benefits was reportedly fired earlier this year — via text — from the FX sitcom after questioning Sheen’s professionalism.  The actor plays an anger management patient on the show, which airs Thursday nights at 9:30 p.m.

To Jay Leno, Sheen said Blair was “written out” to retool the ratings-challenged show, which he referred to as “Anger Management 2.0.”

Sheen explained, “The problem was too many people were still excited about the Two and a Half [Men] character and thought the Anger Management character was a little dull.”

He said of Blair, “Her character leaves, and I start circling the drain.  So it’s really fun to watch and hella fun to play.”

Hinting at Sheen’s past problems, Leno quipped, “And where do you draw from for that?”

Sheen laughed, “It’s a mystery, Jay, it just falls from the sky.”
