(ATLANTA) — The Falcons (1-1) got their first win of the season in their home opener on Sunday. Matt Ryan passed for 374 yards and threw two touchdowns in Atlanta’s 31-24 win over the St. Louis Rams (1-1).
Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones pulled in 11 receptions for 182 yards and a touchdown in the victory. The biggest catch was in the first quarterback when Ryan connected with Jones on an 81-yard touchdown strike.
The Rams trailed 21-0 after Osi Umenyiora picked off Sam Bradford and took it 68-yards for the touchdown in the second quarter, but St. Louis battled back.
Bradford answered with three touchdown passes in the second half and finished with 352 yards in the loss.
Atlanta heads to Miami to take on the Dolphins (2-0) next Sunday. The Rams will be in Dallas against the Cowboys (1-1).
