Houston School Stabbing Leaves One Dead, Others Injured
Published at | Updated at(HOUSTON) — A stabbing at a high school in Houston Wednesday morning has left one person dead and three others injured, according to officials.
The incident stemmed from an altercation at Spring High School around 7:10 a.m., Harris County Sheriff Adrian Garcia said at a news conference Wednesday.
“There has been some information that this may have been gang related, but it’s a very dynamic scene and investigators are collecting information. We’ll work through that as we get it,” he said.
All of the victims are students of the Spring Independent School District, Garcia said. Two of them suffered minor injuries and the other survivor’s condition is unknown. The deceased student was 17 years old.
According to the sheriff, three persons of interest — also students — are being questioned.
“We do believe that the suspects we have in custody, the persons of interest that we have in custody are the only persons of interest that we need to have in custody,” Garcia said.
