Idaho Schools Face Beef Recall
(BOISE, ID) – Dozens of Idaho public schools are subject to a food recall after their California ground beef was found to contain small pieces of plastic. State authorities say no cases have been reported in Idaho, but all schools impacted by Central Valley Beef’s recall have been notified. The company delivers meat products to Idaho’s schools through a program launched by the U.S. Department of Agriculture. The beef producer was embroiled in controversy last year after undercover video showed cows being abused.
