Jenny McCarthy Makes Her “View” Debut

ABC/Lou Rocco(NEW YORK) — Monday marked Jenny McCarthy’s first day as an official co-host on ABC’s The View and she was welcomed to the table by chants of her name — “Jenny! Jenny! Jenny!” — from the audience.
“You all heard them saying Jenny! They weren’t saying Sherri or Whoopi or Barbie,” the show’s creator and executive producer Barbara Walters said. “They were saying hello to our new cast member Jenny McCarthy!”
The TV personality said she was thrilled to join the other co-hosts, Walters, Sherri Shepherd and Whoopi Goldberg, in the ABC daytime talk show’s 17th season.
“First of all I’m so grateful to be here. I’m grateful to have a job. I’m a single mother. And to be on this show with you gals…it’s the best job ever and I feel like the luckiest girl in the world,” McCarthy gushed. “And thank you to the fans who have been supporting me to get here.”
Along with a good luck greeting from her son Evan via video, McCarthy’s new boyfriend, Donnie Wahlberg, joined in on the fun Monday as the scheduled guest.
Singer Michael Buble was on hand, as well, to serenade Walters as it’s her last season on The View.
