Flooding is expected to continue when Manuel makes landfall Wednesday night, causing damage to a nation that is already struggling to clean up after the damage done by recent storms.

“Recently we had Manuel that affected the southern part of Mexico,” said Lixion Avila of the National Hurricane Center. “Now it moved back over water and it hits Mexico again.”

The storms have caused problems for tourists visiting the Mexican beach resort of Acapulco. Many are being diverted to a nearby military base to be airlifted out, and some hotels are now rationing food.

Authorities in Mexico say an additional 48 people have been found dead, raising the overall death toll to 80.
