(ARCO, ID) – A hiker declared missing in Craters of the Moon National Monument may still be alive. On Wednesday night, the body of Jodean Elliott-Blakeslee of Boise was found dead about two miles southwest of the Tree Mold Trail parking lot. Blakeslee’s hiking partner, Amy Linkert, is presumed to be alive and may be suffering from a medical condition. Officials say the area has been difficult to navigate because of rain, snow, and fog, and believe that Linkert may have taken shelter somewhere. No foul play is suspected.
