President Obama to Speak Tuesday to Rally Support for Action in Syria

(WASHINGTON) — President Obama said that America need to respond to the situation in Syria in a call for action during his weekly address and will attempt to round up new-found support during a public address on Tuesday.
Just back from the G20 summit in St. Petersburg, Russia, Obama referred to the chemical attack in Syria about three weeks ago as a matter of national security, saying “This was not only a direct attack on human dignity, it is a serious threat to our national security.”
However, polls show that most Americans oppose intervention in Syria, and as of Friday night, Obama did not have sufficient support in the House of Representatives. He will try to convince the representatives — and the public — during an address on Tuesday night.
