Researchers: Agricultural Jobs on Decline
Published at | Updated at(MOSCOW, ID) – Researchers from the University of Idaho say agricultural jobs in the Gem State are declining, but demand for highly-skilled jobs is on the rise. As more farmers adopt automatic irrigation and other time-saving practices, the need for do-it-all labor isn’t as strong. They note that farms are implementing more technology to increase efficiency, such as GPS systems that literally drive tractors during planting. However, technicians capable of servicing the new equipment are still needed
