(NEW YORK) — Riddick, the third film in Vin Diesel’s sci-fi series, opens nationwide Friday. It’s a sequel to 2000’s Pitch Black and 2004’s The Chronicles of Riddick.
Diesel returns as Riddick, a convict in a futuristic, intergalactic world who’s sought by bounty hunters. Complicating matters for him are the dangerous alien predators that threaten his life.
Karl Urban, Katee Sackhoff and Dave Bautista also star in Riddick, which is rated R. [Click here to read a review]
If you’re in the mood for a comedy, you can check out This Is The End, which is returning to theaters following its initial run earlier in the summer. It centers around six friends trapped in a house as an apocalypse signals the end of the world.
Seth Rogen directed and stars in the flick, which also features James Franco, Jonah Hill, Jay Baruchel, Danny McBride, Craig Robinson, Michael Cera, Emma Watson and Rihanna.
This Is The End is rated R.
