Riddick Wins Box Office in Debut Weekend
Published at(LOS ANGELES) — Riddick, the third film in Vin Diesel’s sci–fi series topped the box office this weekend in its debut, bringing in over $18 million.
Riddick stars Diesel as a convict in a futuristic, intergalactic world. His character is being chased by bounty hunters while dangerous alien predators endanger him at every turn.
Riddick, rated R, also stars Karl Urban, Katee Sackhoff and Dave Bautista.
Lee Daniels’ The Butler, last week’s number one, finished second in the box office this week with Instructions Not Included finishing third.
