The incident happened Tuesday morning when a civilian bus traveling from Kabul to Kandahar struck a bomb in Ghazni province.

Safiullah Ibrahimi, a spokesperson for the governor of Ghazni province, said among those injured, seven are in critical condition.

While no one has yet claimed responsibility for the attack, roadside bombs or improvised explosive devices (IEDs) planted by Taliban on roads have recently taken the lives of many Afghan civilians.
