On Monday’s Live with Kelly and Michael, the 28-year-old actress dished more on the film. “It’s a film that’s about a…Don Juan type kind of character, which is played by Joseph Gordon-Levitt, who is adorable and lovely by the way,” Johansson explained. “He directed it and wrote it and it takes place in New Jersey of course. And…well he’s addicted to pornography, actually,” Johansson said, then quickly clarified, “Not Joseph — the character.”

“[Gordon-Levitt’s character is] set in his ways,” she continued, “and he finally sees this girl…and they have this relationship. And it’s kind of about love and the sacrifices we make for one another.”

Johansson showcases her spot-on New Jersey accent in the film, which she said was easy to perfect because she’s a New York native.

“I grew up in New York and we always said the light at the end of the tunnel was New Jersey. So it was really in my own backyard. And I spent a lot of time in Jersey. I have friends from New Jersey,” she says.

Don Jon hits theaters Sept. 27.
