Pouncey tore the ACL and MCL in his right knee when teammate David DeCastro fell on his leg during a running play in the first quarter.

“You never like to see a guy get hurt, regardless of who it is,” Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger. “(Pouncey) is our captain and our leader, and obviously a very good friend. It’s tough.”

Meanwhile, Foote, who led the team in tackles last season, ruptured a bicep midway through the fourth quarter.

“I hope Larry recovers, that’s a good friend of mine,” Steelers linebacker LaMarr Woodley said. “But we’ve got to get ready for a game next week, so the guy behind him needs to be ready to step up this week and play.”

When Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin was asked if the injuries to Pouncey and Foote were season-ending he replied, “I would assume so, but that’s an assumption at this point.”
