Stocks Up After the Holiday Weekend

The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed up 23.65 points at 14,833.96.

The Nasdaq Composite added 22.74 points to 3,612.61.

The S&P 500 gained 6.8 points, closing at 1,639.77.

Meanwhile, Microsoft has announced it is buying Nokia’s cell phone business and patents for $7.2 billion.

Kodak emerged from bankruptcy on Tuesday. But instead of manufacturing consumer cameras, the company has shifted its focus to commercial printing.

Chobani has pulled containers of its popular Greek yogurt off store shelves because of a mold outbreak. Chobani said it has removed and replaced the vast majority of possibly affected cups.
