The 10 Best Cities for Family Vacations

Hemera/Thinkstock(NEW YORK) — A vacation in a big city can be a lot of fun for kids, but a pricey, logistical challenge for parents.
According to a recent survey by FamilyVacationCritic.com, an online family travel planning guide, 40 percent of parents find the toughest part of planning a city vacation is locating a family-friendly hotel that fits their budget.
Twenty-one percent of parents find it difficult to choose the best attractions to see, while 14 percent have a tough time locating good, kid-friendly restaurants. Thirteen percent of moms and dads polled said they find it difficult to get around in a city.
According to Lissa Poirot, executive editor of FamilyVacationCritic.com, “The best cities for families include a variety of kid-friendly hotels at a range of price points; plenty of fun attractions, parks and family-friendly activities; and an easy-to-navigate transportation system.”
