(IDAHO FALLS, ID)  —  Bonneville County officials have released the names of the three people who survived a plane crash Thursday.   One of them is 40-year old Damond Watkins, vice president of the Republican National Committee as well as vice president of Melaleuca.   A spokesperson for the Bonneville County Republican party says Watkins has severe damage to his spinal cord.   Also injured in the crash were 36-year old Justin Manwaring and 35-year old Bradley Hone.  Neither were as seriously hurt as Watkins.

Hone was the pilot of the plane.  He is being heralded a hero for safely crash-landing in a field at the 1000 block of 35th West.   The plane went down around 4pm Thursday.    The plane was returning from a trip to Boise by way of Pocatello.   The three men had been attending meetings with the Idaho Association of Commerce and Industry.

The Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office said the National Transportation Safety Board continues to investigate the crash.   The Sheriff’s office said the plane likely had mechanical problems when it went down.
