Tom Hanks Does Jury Duty
Published at(LOS ANGELES) — Even Academy Award-winning actors have to do their civic duty.
TMZ reports Tom Hanks was at a Los Angeles courthouse Tuesday, where he was picked to serve on a jury seated to hear a domestic violence case involving a man accused of beating his girlfriend.
The gossip website says Hanks took notes as the arresting detective testified. Witnesses says Hanks was friendly with his fellow jurors and even laughed at one of the lawyer’s jokes.
The case continues Wednesday.
