(BOSTON) — Jameis Winston continued his stellar freshman campaign, throwing for 330 yards and four touchdowns to lead No. 8 Florida State to a 48-34 victory over Boston College.
His most impressive play came at the end of the first half when he hit Kenny Shaw for a 55-yard score as time expired.
I knew I had to pick things up,” said Winston, who also rushed 14 times for 67 yards. “We harp on scoring before the end of the half. We did it yet again.”
Florida State (4-0, 2-0 ACC) has scored at least 40 points in every game, but this victory didn’t come as easy as the others.
Boston College (2-2, 1-1) jumped out to an early 17-3 lead before Winston lead the Seminoles to three touchdown drives in the second quarter.
Chase Rettig completed 19 passes for 197 yards and a career-high four scores for the Eagles.
