Yankees Complete Three-Game Sweep of White Sox

Mike McGinnis/Getty Images(NEW YORK) -- CC Sabathia pitched 7 1/3 strong innings and Mariano Rivera earned his first four batter save in more than two years as the New York Yankees topped the Chicago White Sox 6-5 Wednesday.

The win completes a three-game sweep of the White Sox (56-82) and places the Yankees (75-64) only 2 1/2 games behind Tampa Bay for the final American League Wild Card.

Robinson Cano went 3-for-4 with a home run and two RBIs in the win.

The Yankees will now play four games at home versus the first place Red Sox.

Game 1 is tonight. Jake Peavy (11-5) will oppose Yankees starter Ivan Nova (8-4).
