(TALLAHASSEE, Fla.) — Florida State scored 42 points before North Carolina State scored three as the second-ranked Seminoles thump the Wolfpack, 49-17 Saturday.
Jameis Winston completed 16 of 26 passes for 292 yards and three touchdowns before being pulled after the first drive of the second half.
“You got to be injury free, we thought we had the game hand,” Florida State head coach Jimbo Fisher said of his decision to pull most of his starters early into the second half. ” We got to develop our young guys. We got to get them to play better football.”
Seminoles receiver Rashad Greene had eight catches for 137 yards and a touchdown as Florida State (7-0, 5-0 ACC) remains unbeaten.
The win allows Florida State to avenge its 17-16 loss to NC State last season.
Next up for Florida State, a visit from undefeated Miami.
