At Least 12 Migrants Killed as Boat Capsizes off Egyptian Coast

iStock/Thinkstock(ALEXANDRIA, Egypt) — At least 12 migrants drowned when a boat capsized off the Egyptian coast Friday morning.

According to the BBC, over 116 people were rescued off the coast near Alexandria. Most passengers were Palestinians and Syrians.

Rescuers are still searching for survivors, the BBC reports.
