Board Rejects Land Swaps
Published at | Updated at( IDAHO FALLS, ID ) – The Idaho Land Board has rejected a plan to trade 58 cottage sites in western Idaho for $23 million in commercial property in Idaho Falls. Officials questioned whether the swap would accurately reflect the value of each of the properties. Supporters claimed that the swaps would boost endowment earnings for public schools, while opponents claimed that the value of the proposed resort properties would drop significantly within the next few years.
