Bulls Guard Derrick Rose Scores 13 Points In Return From Injury
Published at(INDIANAPOLIS) — Making his return to the court for the first time since suffering a torn ACL in his left knee during the playoffs two seasons ago, Bulls guard Derrick Rose scored 13 points in 20 minutes as Chicago outpaced the Indiana Pacers in an exhibition game Saturday night, 82-76.
“It felt great,” Rose said of his return. “It felt normal, that’s the way I’ve been playing in practice. Just trying to get my timing back and it’s coming to me, but it’s going to be slow.”
Rose finished the game 5-for-12 shooting with two rebounds, two steals and three assists. He hasn’t played since April 28, 2012, when he suffered the knee injury during Game 1 of the Bulls first round playoff series against the Philadelphia 76ers.
