“Camille Grammer underwent a radical hysterectomy today to treat early stage endometrial cancer,” Grammer’s rep, Howard Bragman told ABC. “The surgery went very well and she is expected to make a complete recovery following a significant recuperation period.”

Her rep added that the ex-wife of actor Kelsey Grammer was at an elevated risk due to genetic issues and “has been diligent about regular check-ups and monitoring, which explains the early detection and rapid treatment.”

Grammer was married to the Frasier star from 1997 until they divorced in 2011. They have two children together through a surrogate.

Bragman closed by saying Grammer “urges all women to be aware of genetic factors relating to women’s cancers and get regular check-ups.”

Grammer starred on the reality show The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills from 2010 to 2013.
