Channing Frye Returning to the Suns this Season

NBA via Phoenix Suns(PHOENIX) — After battling a medical issue that threatened not just his basketball career, but also his life, Channing Frye is ready to return to the NBA and play for the Phoenix Suns this season.
Frye missed all of last season after he was diagnosed with an enlarged heart. During his recovery, he was unable to exercise or keep himself in any kind of shape.
“It’s been a long year. It’s been one of the hardest years I’ve had to go through, because I couldn’t do anything, Frye said. “I couldn’t rehab it, I couldn’t go out on the court and work on it. I was something [where] I just had to sit, and wait, and heal.”
Fortunately for Frye, he will be a full participant during the Suns’ traning camp, and will not need to take any medication.
Frye isn’t the only NBA player to deal with a heart condition. Chris Wilcox, Jeff Green, and Ronny Turiaf have also dealt with it and were able to continue their careers.
