(NEW YORK) — The Colts host Seattle in what is a showdown of two quarterbacks that were selected in the 2012 draft.
Colts’ Andrew Luck was drafted No. 1 overall and Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson was selected in the third-round with the 75th pick.
“It’s the defense that goes up against the quarterbacks,” Luck said of the matchup. “I’m never on the field at the same time as them.”
Colts head coach Chuck Pagano knows how tough Wilson will be for his defense.
“(Wilson) is a top level starter in this league. He’s a proven winner,” Pagano said. “He’s got an NFL arm, he can make all the throws, great presence, great command, never shaken, athletic as all get out, and his ability to extend plays scares the heck out of you.”
The Seattle defense is giving up just 11.8 points a game while holding opposing quarterbacks to a league-low 60.7 rating.
