James’ Fifty Shades of Grey, many are wondering about the status of Dakota Johnson, who was cast to play college student Anastasia Steele.

Well, fans of the actress can relax because TheWrap.com reports filmmakers are completely committed to the daughter of Don Johnson and Melanie Griffith as their leading lady for the project.

After Universal Pictures and Focus Features announced this past weekend that “Hunnam’s immersive TV schedule” wouldn’t allow him enough time to prepare for and shoot Fifty Shades of Grey, whispers began in Hollywood that Johnson’s future in the film was in jeopardy, especially since it was her chemistry with Hunnam that landed her the role in the first place.

According to TheWrap.com, whoever replaces Hunnam will have to demonstrate chemistry with Johnson, instead of the other way around.

A source tells People magazine Hunnam really dropped out of the role because he didn’t want to be typecast.

The Fifty Shades of Grey movie, which will be directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson, will be released on Aug. 1, 2014.
