photo%202?  SQUARESPACE CACHEVERSION=1383196931261Oklahoma City Thunder/NBA(SALT LAKE CITY) —  Kevin Durant scored 42 points as the Oklahoma City Thunder opened their season with a 101-98 win over the Utah Jazz on Wednesday night.

“I just tried to be aggressive and I think my teammates put me in great positions to be aggressive. I need to finish some of those ‘and-1s’ and make more shots,” Durant said after hitting 22 of 24 foul shots in the win.

Reggie Jackson and Thabo Sefolosha each scored 14 points for the Thunder, (1-0) who want to start the season strong despite not having All-Star point guard Russell Westbrook in the lineup.

Gordon Heyward missed a potential game-tying three at the buzzer, sending the rebuilding Jazz (0-1) into the loss column on opening night.

“There were a lot of positives, a lot to build off of tonight,” Utah coach Tyrone Corbin said. “We will grow into the position. We will get better.”
