Foles Leads Eagles to 31-20 Win over the Buccaneers

Getty S 111312 Foles?  SQUARESPACE CACHEVERSION=1381700787105Rich Shultz/Getty Images(TAMPA, Fla.) — Their might just be a quarterback controversy in Philadelphia as backup Nick Foles helped lead the Eagles to a 31-20 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday.

With the win, the Eagles improved to 3-3 on the season while the Buccaneers have yet to win a game, as they fell to 0-5.

Foles completed 22 of 31 passes for 296 yards. He also threw three touchdowns, ran for another score, and didn’t throw a single interception.

Starting for the injured Michael Vick, Foles has shown he can adequately run Chip Kelly’s offense agaisnt a Buccaneers defense that was ranked fourth in the NFL coming into the game.

Running back LeSean McCoy had 116 rushing yards along with 55 receiving yards. Wide receiver DeSean Jackson had six catches for 64 yards, and scored two touchdowns for the first time in the NFL career.

Meanwhile, Buccaneers rookie quarterback Mike Glennon complted 26 of 43 passes for two touchdowns and an interception. Running back Doug Martin had 67 rushing yards on 16 carries.
