(WASHINGTON) — The United States Department of Health and Human Services is working to improve the HealthCare.gov website.
Since HealthCare.gov launched on Oct. 1, some Americans have found it difficult to access the online Affordable Care Act health care options.
Reported problems have included trouble creating accounts, logging in, and getting pages to load.
In a blog entry posted on Sunday, a spokesperson from Health and Human Services said the initial interest “stressed” the systems.
The spokesperson reports that teams have been “working around the clock to make improvements” and that they will “continue to conduct regular maintenance nearly every night to improve the experience.”
According to the blog entry, HealthCare.gov has had over 19 million unique visits.
