(NEW YORK) — Homeland actress Morena Baccarin welcomed her first child — a son named Julius — on Tuesday, her rep confirms to ABC News.
The boy weighed in at just less than 8 pounds, reported People magazine, who broke the story.
“Julius and his mother are happy and healthy,” the rep told the magazine.
Baccarin, 34, had a little scare as the baby was delivered in the breech position — or feet first — but Julius is doing just fine.
The recent Emmy nominee told People that Dr. Ronald Wu of Glendale Adventist Medical Center, a specialist in breech births, provided “the birth experience I wanted.”
Baccarin married director Austin Chick in November 2011 and announced this past May that the couple was expecting.
