Idaho Exchange Could Hike Fees

(BOISE, ID) – The amount of money Idaho’s new health exchange charges for insurance assessments may go up at much as 75 percent in the next two years. Your Health Idaho currently charges a 1.5 percent assessment fee, though that will likely increase to 2.6 percent. Officials say the current fee does not properly cover the costs to run the exchange on a daily basis. Federal law requires all state-run exchanges to be entirely self-sustainable by 2016.
