Idaho LDS Missionary Dies in Mexico

(SALT LAKE CITY, UT)  —  The LDS Church has announced the death of a missionary from Victor.  Elder Colt Daniel Kunz died Wednesday after coming into contact with a live electrical wire.   A spokesperson with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints said the 20-year old Kunz was serving in the Mexico Tampico Mission and had just arrived in the country.

“In his short service, he had been described as the kind of missionary every mission president wants to receive,” the church said Thursday. “Our thoughts and prayers are with Elder Kunz’s family, friends and others who mourn his passing.”
