Jail Inmate Escapes in Pocatello

(FORT HALL, ID) – An inmate from Fort Hall Corrections escaped from custody in Pocatello Monday. Officials say 35-year-old Nathaniel Yabeney was on his way out of Portneuf Medical Center after a wellness check when he faked leg pain and managed to escape from the officer watching him. Yabeney stripped down to his boxer shorts and orange shoes as he was fleeing. He was later located in the area of Vaughan Road inside a building and actively resisted arrest before he was apprehended.
