Junk Yard Brawl Leads to Arrest

(IDAHO FALLS, ID) – An Idaho Falls man was arrested Monday night after a brawl over scraps of copper metal. 65-year-old Gary Fichthorn is accused of picking up a piece of aluminum door frame and attacking another man over a pile of copper at the Hatch Pit. Fichthorn, who reportedly collects scrap metal for a living, is also accused of hitting the other man in the face during the scuffle. The suspect, who was arrested on a charge of aggravated battery, remains held in the Bonneville County Jail.
