Male Jets Fan Caught on Video Punching Female Fan

Per-Anders Pettersson/Getty Images(NEW YORK) — Police are investigating an incident involving a male Jets fan who was videotaped punching a female fan at MetLife Stadium on Sunday.
The fight allegedly broke out following the Jets’ 30-27 win over the New England Patriots. In the video, a man wearing a No. 80 Jets jersey is seen punching a woman wearing a red and white Patriots shirt.
A commentator who originally posted the video to the website Deadspin and YouTube said the fight “started in the stands with two girls fighting. And moved out to where I shot the video. Beer was thrown and clothing over the balcony. Security went after the guy. Didn’t see what happened after that.”
Jets officials said they are looking into the scuffle.
“We are aware of the situation and we do not tolerate that behavior,” Jets officials said in a statement Monday. “Parties were detained and this matter is now in the hands of the New Jersey State Police.”
A spokesman with the New Jersey State Police said they are investigating the incident.
