Mississippi Defeats (6) LSU, 27-24

10 20 13%20LSU%20A?  SQUARESPACE CACHEVERSION=1382278958353ThinkStock(OXFORD, Miss.) — Senior kicker Andrew Ritter converted a 41-yard field goal with two seconds left in the game as Mississippi (4-3; 2-3 SEC) upended No. 6 LSU (6-2; 3-2 SEC) Saturday night, 27-24.

With 9:29 left in the third quarter, the Rebels took a 17-point lead on a two-yard touchdown run from sophomore running back Jaylen Walton. But the Tigers fought their way back, tying the game at 24 when senior quarterback Zach Mettenberger connected with junior wide receiver Jarvis Landry on a four-yard touchdown with 3:19 left in the fourth quarter.

Starting from their own 15-yard line, Mississippi drove to LSU’s 24, setting up Ritter’s game-winning field goal.

The Rebels finished with 525 total yards while the Tigers had 388.
