N.Y. Jets Sign WR Josh Cribbs

Thearon W. Henderson/Getty Images(NEW YORK) -- The New York Jets signed wide receiver and kick return specialist Josh Cribbs on Tuesday.

The 30-year-old Cribbs had offseason surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his left knee. He was with the Oakland Raiders during training camp, but was cut before the season kicked off.

The three-time Pro Bowler is tied with New England Patriots running back Leon Washington for the NFL record for most kickoff-return touchdowns, with eight.

Cribbs signed with the Browns out of Kent State as an undrafted free agent on April 29, 2005. He spent eight seasons in Cleveland, where he caught 107 passes for 1,161 yards and seven touchdowns.
