(IDAHO FALLS, ID) – Students at Dora Erickson Elementary in Idaho Falls are getting a mini-vacation this week. Teachers will be using the time away from their students to move their classrooms into a brand new building. This is the first of four elementary schools approved for construction under a bond last year. The district will take everything salvageable from the current school and use it in the new one. Students will head back to their new classrooms next week, and the old school will eventually be torn down to build a new playground. A grand opening will be held Nov. 18.
