No. 25 Mizzou Downs No. 7 Georgia

1 1 12%20Generic%20Football?  SQUARESPACE CACHEVERSION=1381611430100BananaStock(ATHENS, Ga.) — L’Damian Washington had seven catches for 115 yards and two touchdowns leading No. 25 Missouri past No. 7 Georgia 41-26 Saturday.

Missouri rushed out to a 28-10 halftime lead, but Georgia (4-2, 3-1 SEC) battled back and cut the deficit to two when Aaron Murray found Chris Conley for a 10-yard touchdown with 12:15 left in the fourth quarter.

Despite losing starting quarterback James Franklin to a separated shoulder, Missouri (6-0, 2-0 SEC) answered back scoring two more touchdowns as it remains undefeated.

“This is a special group of guys. I said that this summer,” Missouri head coach Gary Pinkel said. “I’m really proud of them and you know what,  we haven’t played are best game yet we’re still getting better.”

Aaron Murray, who was leading a Georgia offense that was without its two leading rushers and three of its top receivers, completed 25 of 45 passes for 290 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions in the loss.
