The explosive Saints come in at 5-0, led by quarterback Drew Brees, who has thrown 12 touchdowns passes and 1,722 yards already.

The Patriots are hoping to have one of their offensive weapons back in tight end Rob Gronkowski.

Gronkowski is expected to be cleared to play after missing the first five games while recovering from back surgery, reports USA TODAY Sports.

“I feel like I’ve kind of talked about it a lot in the last five weeks,” Patriots quarterback Tom Brady said Wednesday of Gronkowski.  “If he’s there, he’s there.  If he’s not, he’s not, we’ve got to try and go win anyway.”

One player that the Patriots defensive backs will have to prepare for is Saints wide out Jimmy Graham, who has pulled in 37 catches for 593 yards and six touchdowns.

“They’ve been impressive and we’re going to have to play a good 60 minute football game on Sunday,” Patriots head coach Bill Belichick said Wednesday. “That’s what it’s going to take.”

New England is 2-0 at home and 4-1 for the season.
