The protest had nothing to do with the shutdown.  Instead, the activists were concerned with members of Congress who are not adequately alerting the public about genetically modified organisms in the American food supply.

The protestors posed as biotechnology industry lobbyists and processed food industry workers as they made their way into the Hart office building, according to a press release.  In video provided to ABC News, the protestors were seen tossing money in the air and lying on the floor while others spread the money on top of them.

As one man was on the floor making “money angels,” he shouted, “Come and get it staffers!”

U.S. Capitol Police arrested three demonstrators in the atrium of the Hart Senate Office Building.  They were charged with “Crowding, Obstructing & Incommoding.”
