Source: Michael Douglas, Catherine Zeta-Jones ‘Not Back Together’

Michael Roman/FilmMagic(LOS ANGELES) — Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones aren’t ready to call it quits on their marriage, but while they’re both wearing their wedding rings, a source tells People magazine the couple is “not back together.”
The source tells the magazine Douglas and Zeta-Jones are still “taking a break” and people who think the pair have reconciled are “getting ahead of themselves.”
The magazine reports Douglas, 69, is currently in New Mexico shooting The Reach, with co-stars Bruce Willis, John Malkovich, Helen Mirren and Anthony Hopkins. The 44-year-old actress, meanwhile, is home in Bedford, N.Y., with their two kids.
The couple’s still talking, according to People, but not spending time with each other. The pair share the same birthday, Sept. 25, but did not celebrate together.
The couple revealed in August that they were separating, but at the recent Emmy Awards, Douglas told reporters he was “very hopeful” that they were “going to work things out.” Douglas added, “As I said, we’re just taking a break, a couple of issues, sometimes you got to do that.”
The couple tied the knot in 2000.
