Steelers Edge Ravens 19-16 On Last Second Field Goal
Published at(PITTSBURGH) — Make that two wins in a row for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Shaun Suisham kicked a 42-yard field goal as time expired, and the Steelers edged the Baltimore Ravens 19-16 on Sunday afternoon.
Ben Roethlisberger threw for 160 yards and a touchdown. He found Antonio Brown for two big gains on Pittsburgh’s final drive to help set up the game-winning kick.
“That’s what we’re supposed to do,” Suisham said. “Hopefully we can start stacking wins here.”
Rookie running back Le’Veon Bell had 19 carries for a career-high 93 yards in the win.
Reigning Super Bowl MVP Joe Flacco hit Dallas Clark on a 1-yard touchdown pass to tie the game at 16 with 1:58 remaining, but the Steelers proved to be too much for the defending champions.
The Ravens (3-4) have now lost for the third time in their last four games.
“We can’t kid ourselves anymore, we’ve got a lot of work to do, linebacker Terrell Suggs said. “We’re used to things going a little different for us, but that being said we’ve got to be able to adjust on the fly and play football.”
