(ARCO, ID) – More than 70 volunteers from four states teamed up over the weekend in search of an Oregon woman who is missing in Craters of the Moon National Monument. 63-year-old Jo Elliot-Blakeslee was last seen September 19. She’d planned on a day-long excursion with a friend, 69-year-old Amy Linkert, who was found dead six days later of dehydration and hypothermia. Crews are now treating the search as a recovery effort. The Oregon Department of Corrections, which employed the missing woman, has donated 500 meals to those searching. Furloughed employees at Craters of the Moon are also staying on to help.
