Matt Kenseth holds a four-point lead in the standings ahead of Jimmie Johnson and spoke about racing at the tough track.

“I try and approach it as an opportunity,” said Kenseth, who won the race last year. “If the guys you’re racing and trying to beat are being real careful and ride in the back, I look at that as an opportunity to lead some laps and get some bonus points.”

Johnson has mixed feelings about Talladega. “I enjoy racing there, we’ve won two plate races this year, so hopefully we can carry that momentum in,” Johnson said. “Talladega’s the one that always gets me.”

Kevin Harvick sits in third, followed by Jeff Gordon, Kyle Busch and Greg Biffle.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. is ninth in the standings and isn’t a fan of the track. “The one track I probably look forward to least is Talladega,” Earnhardt said.  “How that track can be a bit of a lottery on how you finish and how that affect your points.  That track being a part of the chase, it’s really a guessing game on what’s going to happen to you there.”
