The Hollywood Foreign Press Association, which presents the Golden Globes, announced that the two former Saturday Night Live cast mates have locked in a deal to host the telecast in 2014 and 2015.

In a statement, HFPA president Theo Kingma said, “It’s wonderful news. They have always been our first choice as hosts and we’re delighted they are back for the next two years.”

The 71st Annual Golden Globe Awards will broadcast live on Sunday, Jan. 12, 2014 from 8-11 p.m. ET from the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, Calif.

When the duo hosted the show, they made headlines for zingers like this one about Zero Dark Thirty director Kathryn Bigelow: “When it comes to torture, I trust the lady who spent three years married to James Cameron.”

Or this one about Anne Hathaway’s performance in Les Miserables: “I have not seen someone so totally alone and abandoned like that since you were on stage with James Franco at the Oscars.”

Fey and Poehler got the most attention, however, for their joke warning Taylor Swift to “stay away” from Michael J. Fox’s son, who was serving as Mr. Golden Globe for the evening. This set off a huge war of the words in the press, where a clearly miffed Swift told Vanity Fair magazine, quoting Katie Couric, “She said to me she had heard a quote that she loves that said, ‘There’s a special place in hell for women who don’t help other women.'”

In response, Poehler told The Hollywood Reporter, “Aw, I feel bad if she was upset. I am a feminist, and she is a young and talented girl. That being said, I do agree I am going to hell.  But for other reasons.  Mostly boring tax stuff.”

And Fey told Entertainment Tonight, “I did not see that one coming. It was a joke, it was a lighthearted joke.”
